Position: Medical Assistant

Facility: Fair Oaks Women’s Health Crisis Response

Location : 625 S. Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena, CA, 91105

Duration: 3 months contract (Extendable)

Hours: Day 5×8 Hour (08:00AM – 5:00PM)

Preferred Qualifications:

” 2+ years working as a MA in OBGYN

” Experience with CS-Link/Epic

” Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions

” Phlebotomy certification

” Understanding of medical terminology

” Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans

” Experience with OB/GYN Procedures: PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, NST.

Job Duties:

” Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record

” Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data

” Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice

” Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs

” Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines

” Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider

” Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
